SUMMARY:Theatre play “The Decameron” Written by Giovani Boccacio
DESCRIPTION:Directed by: Martin Kochovski\n \nNI Center for Culture “Marko Cepenkov” – Prilep\nTheater “Vojdan Cernodrinski”–  Prilep\n \nIn circumstances of global social impasse, It is inevitable to deal with “Decameron”, with the triumph of human will against the terrible, unimaginable obstacle to happiness – death. This is a play that follows the cyclical nature of existence, where man, through constant struggle with cosmic or divine injustices, manages to explosively raise his spirit. He hits hard on delicate places of society, awakening an amazing joy from the theatrical act.\n“Decameron” is a play full of life. Unfortunately, everyday life is not. The specific nature of relationships that we were given during this period only brought to the surface the problems of society that we always had. Isolation of the individual, alienation on every basis and class division have now become visible, but they have existed for decades. At the same time, universal grief, solidarity, compassion connected us all once again. The play “Decameron” stands on the humanist platform of Giovanni Boccaccio and talks about the human will to live, the joy of “here and now”, about our fragility but also about the strength of the human spirit through the ephemerality of happiness and the lessons of tragedy.\n \nCast:\nAlaksandar Stepanuleski\nNatasa Acanski\nZdravko Stojmirov\nIlija Volcevski\nDimitar Gorgievski\nMarija Spirkovska-Ilieska\nAngela Naumovska\nIgor Trpcevski\nMihajlo Milenkovski\nAndon Jovanovski\nAleksandar Todeski\nDimitar Crcoroski\nCvetanka Cavleska\nSara Spirkoska\nLeonardo Lazov\n \nDramaturg: Lidija Mitoska Gjorgijevska\nSet design by: Filip Jovanovski\nCostumes by: Juliana Vojkova-Najman\nMusic: The orchestra of the Theater “Vojdan Cernodrinski” led by Pece Trajkovski-Brada\nVocals and music associate: Anna Mitoska\n \nTotal running time: 2h 30m (no intermission)\nSuitable for all ages.\n
