DESCRIPTION:Camille Thomas-violoncello\nCamille Thomas is a dynamic and captivating cellist, whose vibrant and joyful personality shines through in her music. Camille believes that music has the power to bring people together and to inspire them, regardless of their cultural backgrounds.\nCamille Thomas’s 2023/2024 season is set to be another remarkable year. She will kick off the season with a series of concerts at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, followed by captivating recitals in Duszniki, Biarritz, and the Kronberg Festival. In addition, Camille Thomas will be performing with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington DC under the baton of Gustavo Gimeno. As a residency artist with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, she will join maestro Sergey Smbatyan for four sensational concerts.\nCamille Thomas will also showcase her talents with the Portland Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonieorchester Aachen, Stuttgart Philharmoniker, and Philharmonie Zuidnederland.\nIn addition to her live performances, as a Deutsche Grammophon exclusive artist Camille has released in March 2023 a new project -“The Chopin Project,” which pays tribute to Chopin’s favorite instrument, the cello and is is a trilogy of albums that showcases Camille’s deep understanding of Chopin’s music and its relationship with the cello.\nCamille Thomas was born in 1988 in Paris. She began playing cello at the age of four and made such rapid progress that she was soon taking lessons with Marcel Bardon. She moved to Berlin in 2006 to study with Stephan Forck and Frans Helmerson at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik, and continued her training in the form of postgraduate lessons with Wolfgang-Emanuel Schmidt at the Franz Liszt Hochschule für Musik in Weimar.\nShe has already worked with such conductors as Paavo Järvi, Mikko Franck, Marc Soustrot, Darrell Ang, Kent Nagano, Stéphane Denève and with orchestras such as the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Academia Santa Cecilia, the Sinfonia Varsovia, Staatsorchester Hamburg in the Elbphilharmonie, the Lucerne Festival Strings in the Herkulessaal in Munich, the Orchestre National de Bordeaux, and Brussels Philharmonic. Camille Thomas plays the famous ‘Feuermann’ Stradivarius 1730 as a loan from the Nippon Music Foundation.\n\n \nJuliеn Brocal-piano\nFrench pianist and BBC Music Magazine’s 2018 Revelation of the Year, Julien Brocal has gained recognition for his performances in prestigious venues worldwide.\nJulien has released two highly acclaimed solo albums, one dedicated to Chopin and the other one dedicated to Ravel and Mompou as well as triple album by Deutsche Grammophon dedicated to Chopin with cellist Camille Thomas.\nHighlights of the 2024-2025 season include the release of his third solo album “Here” dedicated to his own compositions in the Fall 2024 and the release of a second album with French cellist, Camille Thomas. In addition to solo recitals, he collaborates regularly with renowned musicians such as Daniel Hope, Camille Thomas and Rosanne Philippens.\nNext to traditional concert halls, Julien has created in his studio the “Jardin Musical,” a creative ecosystem reflecting the principles of permaculture by providing a space to produce live performances, recordings and residencies.\n \n \n
