DESCRIPTION:VADIM GLUZMAN-violin\nUniversally recognized among today’s top performing artists, Vadim Gluzman breathes new life and passion into the golden era of the 19th and 20th centuries‘ violin tradition. Gluzman’s wide repertoire embraces new music, and his performances are heard around the world through live broadcasts and a striking catalogue of award-winning recordings exclusively for the BIS label. The Israeli violinist performs with the world’s leading orchestras and conductors, including Tugan Sokhiev with the Berlin Philharmonic, Boston Symphony and Orchestre de Paris, Neeme Järvi with the Chicago Symphony and Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Riccardo Chailly with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Gewandhaus Orchestra and Gothenburg Symphony, and with the Cleveland Orchestra under the direction of Hannu Lintu and Mikhail Jurowski. He performs at Ravinia, Tanglewood, BBC Proms, Grant Park, and the North Shore Chamber Music Festival, which he founded in 2011.\nHighlights of the 24/25 season include performances with Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Uppsala Kammarorkester, the Solistes Européens, Taipei Symphony Orchestra, NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, Bochumer Symphoniker, Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla Y León, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Stuttgarter Kammerorchester and the Beethoven Orchester Bonn under the direction of Tugan Sokhiev, Eliahu Inbal, James Gaffigan, Tung-Chieh Chuang, Matthew Halls, Hugh Wolff, and Ruth Reinhardt, as well as concerts with Johannes Moser and Andrei Korobeinikov, and with his duo partner Evgeny Sinaiski. Vadim Gluzman also conducts concerts this season with the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra in Columbus, Ohio, where he is Creative Partner and Principal Guest Artist.\nGluzman has premiered works by Sofia Gubaidulina, Moritz Eggert, Giya Kancheli, Elena Firsova, Pēteris Vasks, Michael Daugherty and Lera Auerbach. In the 2023/24 season, he performed the European premiere of Erkki-Sven Tüür’s 3rd Violin Concerto with the HR-Rundfunkorchester Frankfurt.\nAccolades for his extensive discography include the Diapason d’Or of the Year, Gramophone’s Editor’s Choice, Classica magazine’s Choc de Classica award, and Disc of the Month by The Strad, BBC Music Magazine and ClassicFM.\nDistinguished Artist in Residence at the Peabody Conservatory, where he teaches a selected group of young violinists, Gluzman performs on the legendary 1690 ‘ex-Leopold Auer’ Stradivari, on extended loan through the Stradivari Society of Chicago.\n\n\n\nEVGENY SINAISKI-piano\nBorn into a distinguished musical family in St. Petersburg, Russia, pianist Evgeny Sinaiski has carved a unique niche as one of the most sought after and highly respected chamber music partners and pedagogues in Europe.\nProfessor of chamber music and an official accompanist at the Vienna Conservatoire, Mr. Sinaiski also leads a duo class at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, Germany. He collaborates with many important musicians of our day such as Herman Krebbers, Boris Kuschnir, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Helmut Zehetmair, Hatto Beyerle, Vadim Gluzman, Stephan Pikard, Latica Honda-Rosenberg, Jens Peter Maintz, Alexander Huelshoff, Alexander Zemtsow, Michael Kugel, Ivan Monigetti and Kirill Rodin in concerts and masterclasses around the world.\nMr. Sinaiski has performed as a soloist with Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Latvian State Chamber Orchestra and Bolshoy Theatre Orchestra of Minsk. He appears regularly at most important venues on the continent including Vienna’s Musikverein and Konzerthaus, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Tonhalle in Dusseldorf, Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, Herkulessaal in Munich, as well as Brussels’ Palais de Beaux-Arts, Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Hall and Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. In 2008 he has made a successful debut as producer and pianist at Frankfurt’s Alte Oper and in 2010 appeared for the first time at Salzburg Festival.\nPrize winner of international competitions such as ARD in Munich, Shostakovich Competition in Hannover and contests in Netherlands, Latvia and Russia, Mr. Sinaiski’s recordings can be heard on “Gramola” label, as well as on BBC, ORF, Bavarian Radio, and radio stations in Italy, Latvia, Russia and Slovenia among many others.\nDedicated educator, Evgeny Sinaiski is a faculty member and staff pianist of such distinguished masterclasses as Salzburg Mozarteum Summer Academy, Bavarian Music Academy, Festival Les Arcs in France and “Villa-Musica” in Germany. In addition, Mr. Sinaiski has assumed the role of official pianist at Wieniawsky and Lipizer International Violin Competitions. Between the years 2002 and 2010 he led the chamber music class at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in St. Petersburg and served as a coach pianist at the UDK Berlin.\nEvgeny began his musical education in Riga, Latvia and in 1987 was accepted to the studio of Professor Marina Wolf at the Special Music School Lyceum in St. Petersburg, and subsequently at the St. Petersburg Conservatoire, graduating in 1997. His musical development was also greatly influenced by such prominent musicians as Sofia Wakman, Tamara Fidler and Sergey Uryvaev.
