DESCRIPTION:European premiere of the theatre play\n,Elektra`s story’\nBy: Sasho Dimoski\nDirected by: Dejan Projkovski\n \nTheatre association of South Korea, ARTEMA – Theater Laboratory and NI Ohrid Summer Festival\n \nThis staging of the myth of Electra aims to create a universal theatrical language, whose paradigm relies on the synthesis of powerful audiovisual images, bodily expression, and minimal verbal text. At its core, the myth of Electra centers on the revenge of the children for their murdered father, directed against their own mother. Once again, it brings to the stage the eternal ethical subjects that touch upon family relations, social decay, and the need for catharsis.\nDejan Projkovski and Sasho Dimoski began their collaboration in 2022 with the play Inferno, based on Dante Alighieri’s Inferno, with dramaturgy by Dimoski and direction by Projkovski. This mega-production by the National Theater “Jordan Hadzi Konstantinov – Dzhinot” in Veles, R. N. Macedonia was highly praised by both the audience and critics, highlighting its unique visual and auditory atmosphere. Since then, their creative alliance continues with significant projects that have illuminated the theatrical scene in Macedonia and beyond. In 2024, under Projkovski’s direction, they produced Demons, an adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s novel, at the National Theater in Debrecen, Hungary, which has been named the best performance of the season in the drama, opera, and ballet category. In 2023, they presented  Feather Collectors, a play based on the screenplay by Aleksandar Petrovic from the cult film of the same name, adapted by Sasho Dimoski and directed by Dejan Projkovski. This mega-production of the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad, won first prize at the “Theater in the Fortress” festival in Smederevo in June 2024. The same year, they staged Racin, dedicated to the life and work of Kocho Racin, with text by Dimoski and direction by Projkovski.
