DESCRIPTION:Theatre play “Who is Lorette”\nBy Florence Cadier\nDirected by: Dragana Miloshevski – Popova\n \nProduction of the Theatre for children and youth, Skopje\n \n“Who is Lorette” is a play that explores the question of identity and belonging, opens the door to understanding differences and entices the audience to identify and accept those who are different. The play focuses on Lorette, a girl with Down’s syndrome who is not defined by one quality, but by the all the life roles she takes on- being a sister and a daughter, a student and a friend, an actress, director and painter… She is a child full of dreams, talents, emotions who just wants what every other kid wants- to be seen, accepted and loved.\nThrough her encounters with the family, her peers and the world that surrounds her, Lorette puts out the simple and yet crucial question: who are we and do other see us for what we are.
