Romanian evening “From Bucharest to Madrid” at “Ohrid Summer”

The traditional Romanian Evening at the “Ohrid Summer” festival will present the concert “From Bucharest to Madrid” tonight at 9 PM in the church of “St. Sophia” with violinist Irina Mureșanu and pianist Daniel del Pino.

Romanian violinist Irina Mureșanu and Spanish pianist Daniel del Pino will take the audience on an exciting musical journey “From Bucharest to Madrid,” inspired by their personal cultural heritage. As the title suggests, the repertoire musically and geographically follows the path leading from one city to the other, with stops in Hungary, Austria, Germany, and France, represented by the works of significant composers from these countries.

The musical partnership of this duo began at the prestigious Newport Music Festival in 2019, and since then, they have performed together in concert halls across the USA and Europe. Both artists have impressive solo careers, and together they bring fresh and powerful energy to the standard repertoire. Irina Mureșanu and Daniel del Pino share a common interest in creating programs that are musically complex yet equally engaging and educational for audiences of all ages.
