The participants of the International Seminar for Violin, Viola, and Chamber Music, which is held annually under the artistic direction of violinist Emilio Percan and pianist Tamara Guliya, will hold a final concert today as part of the “Ohrid Summer” festival.
The young musical talents will perform in the “St. Sophia” church today at 5 PM. The International Seminar for Violin, Viola, and Chamber Music has been in existence since 2009. It was held for the first three years in Istria, Croatia, and since 2014, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of North Macedonia and the city of Ohrid, it has continued to take place in Ohrid.
The seminar attracts young violinists from Russia, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Greece, Serbia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia. To date, more than 150 students and participants from these and other countries have attended the seminar. The seminar also regularly involves pedagogues and performers, professional musicians who come for further training.
As part of the seminar, final concerts featuring the most successful participants are traditionally organized, and this year they will also perform a concert within the “Ohrid Summer” festival.
