“Libertango” – a story of love, passion, strong emotions

Maestral performance at the festival “Ohrid Summer” last night hosted the National Opera and Ballet of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, placing the ballet performance “Libertango” on the music of one of the most noted tango representatives, Astor Piazzola.

The audience was impressed by the performances of Aleksandra Mijalkova, Vasil Chichiashvili, Maria Kichevska Shokarovska, Natasa Josifovska, Sasha Evtimova, Igor Velanoski, and all the artists who perfectly mastered the stage.

“Libertango” has captured the story of the creation and the path of the tango, which exactly gave Piazzola new genre dimensions and brought it to perfection.

The choreography for the ballet performance “Libertango” was performed by the famous Italian choreographer and former ballerina Sabrina Bosko with the assistant choreographers Goran Bozinov and Olga Pango, and the libretto for the life story of the composer Piazzola and directed by Natasha Poplavska.
Libertango is one of the most popular tango compositions of the 20th century.
