“Kao Kakao” is a contemporary Macedonian musical inspired by the music of Vlatko Stefanovski directed by Dejan Projkovski and with text by Venko Andonovski.

It is a melodrama love story set in the seventies where love and ambitions grow together with the pressures of the surroundings. In the attempt to keep their authenticity, the young characters face the invisible borders of the system, face stereotypes, their fears and the moment when life starts posing challenges and compromises.  The play tells the story of a generation that thinks that the world belongs to them, and that in their strive to succeed, they are continuously facing the strict rules, expectations and rigid frames of the actual times they live in. With a large performance ensemble and with Vlatko Stefanovski’s music as its main motor “Kao Kakao” creates a stage world that is full of love, ambitions, rebellion and strive for freedom.
