The audience of “Ohrid Summer” will enjoy two sopranas and piano

The musical program at the Ohrid Summer Festival tonight will bring two events to the cathedral church “St. Sophia”.

Famous sopranists, twin sisters Biljana Stafanson and Ljiljana Jovanovic in the piano-accompaniment of the famous artist Marija Vrskova, starting at 8 pm and 30 minutes will hold a concert in the framework of the Swedish evening at the festival.

Twins Stafanson and Jovanovic are colorful soprano, whom the audience remembers as a “miracle of children” from the time when at the age of 9 they performed on the television a duet from Mozart’s “Magic Flute”. Both often perform together on European scenes in many languages. Their rich concert and opera repertoire contains works by Bellini, Chopin, Donizetti, Mozart and Verdi, as well as works by Nordic and other composers. Their performances are highly appreciated by critics, especially their brilliant interpretation, musicality and remarkable high registry.

After the concert of the sopranist, at 10 pm, Sandra Jakopovic from Serbia will perform as part of Ohrid Summer’s music program.

Jakopovic was born in Cyprus and starts playing the piano at the age of 5. She graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. She has won numerous prizes and awards, one of the most significant being the “Grand Prix” at a Geneva match when she was only 10 years old.
