Cristiana Pegoraro -piano
Defined by the New York Times as “an artist of the highest calibre,” Cristiana Pegoraro performs in the most prestigious concert halls across Europe, the United States, South America, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
She has played in the presence of Presidents of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella and Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, the President of the United Nations General Assembly, the Governor of the State of New York, Her Royal Highness the Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, the Italian Minister of Economic Development, the Governor of British Columbia, Canada, and the President of the Austrian Senate.
Her extensive discography includes 34 CDs. Her album Piazzolla Tangos won the Gold Medal at the prestigious Global Music Awards in California.
To date, Cristiana Pegoraro has received more than 50 international awards. In 2019, as a world-renowned pianist and composer, she was honoured with the Bellisario Prize during a live ceremony on RAI TV. Most recently, Westchester County in the State of New York established a day in her honour. According to the official proclamation of the County’s Legislative Council, March 28 is celebrated as Cristiana Pegoraro Day.
