“Our evening in Ohrid” Ivan Bosiljcic, Serbia
Over a decade acclaimed film and drama actor Ivan Bosilcic dedicates his time and creative energy to special poetry inspired stage projects. A great appreciator of Serbian and world literature he creates and performs intimate theatre confessions, told thought the verses of great poets. With great success these performances have taken him around the Balkan region, from Belgrade’s Trade union hall and “Madlenianum” opera, to Skopje’s National opera and ballet and Universal hall and Novi Sad’s National theatre. He has also performed in other countries such as Austria, Sweden, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Canada.
His performances are a unique blend of a drama performance and a concert- a format rarely seen in this part of the world. “Our evening in Ohrid” is a new and specially produced project for the long-awaited encounter with the audience of the Ohrid Summer Festival. The poems of Baudelaire, Esenin, Blaze Koneski, Ante Popovski, Aleksa Santic, Milan Rakic will be accompanied by the guitar sounds of fado, oriental tunes and classical music. To achieve this, Ivan Bosiljcic will be joined on stage by classical guitarist and composer Goran Kovacic and Zoran Stojanovic who has spent the last three decades in Portugal and has collaborated with the prima donna of fado music Dulce Pontes.
