Anastasija Grgovska-piano

Anastasija Grgovska was born in Kumanovo where she starts her music education in the class of prof. Dragan Grgovski, and continuing to study with prof. Slavica Micovska. Her love for the piano takes her to the State Music School “Ilija Nikolovski-Luj”  and to the Faculty of Music in Skopje where in 2013 she graduates with a Cum Laude distinction in the class of prof. Marija Gjoshevska. During her studies she is a winner of numerous prizes at state and international competitions and has performed recitals in Skopje, Kumanovo and Prokuplje. As a soloist and as part of chamber formations Grgovska has appeared at the Ohrid Summer Festival, Skopje Summer Festival, Days of Macedonian music and Autumnal music festivitites. In 2009 she is the soloist with the Chamber orchestra of the city of Pernik in Bulgaria, and in 2013 and 2017 she performs with the Macedonian philharmonic. She is the laureate of the Foundation “Tomislav Zografski” in 2014, and in 2017 the board of the foundation awards her the Grand Prix. Grgovska and Italian pianist Brigida Miore form the ”Distance” piano duo. Anastasija is an avid teacher and thrives as a piano accompanist. She has taken part in masterclasses led by accomplished international pianists such as H. Holtmann, J. Kott, N. Trull, A. Diev, Z. Zaharieva, A. Gindin, F. Turisini, G. Gruzman, L. Gashparovic etc. She earns her Master’s degree at the Russian Academy “Gnesin” in Moscow in the class of prof. Julia V. Fjodorova and during her studies in Moscow performs in class concerts and with chamber ensembles.

 

Shkeljzen Baftiari-piano

Shkeljzen Baftiari graduated from the Faculty of Music in Skopje with highest honours and a Cum Laude distinctions in the class of Prof. Boris Romanov, continuing to earn his master’s degree at the same Faculty in the class of world-renowned pianist Simon Trpceski. He started learning the piano at age 10 at the State music school “Todor Skalovski-Tetoec” in Tetovo with prof. Simona Zafirovska and continued his studies and high school at the State Music and Ballet centre “Ilija Nikolovski-Luj” in Skopje under the tutelage of prof. Ljudmila Romanova. He has been awarded numerous prizes at international piano competitions in Paris, Rome, Torino, Plovdiv, Blagoevgrad and Belgrade. He has had recitals in Tetovo, Skopje, Striga, Prishtina, Tirana, Sofia and Ohrid, and has appeared at international festivals such as the Ohrid Summer Festival, Autumnal music festivities and Skopje Summer Festival in Skopje, Days of Macedonian music, DAM, Chopin Piano Fest, Kosova Kamer Fest, ReMusica, Stage of the Albanian classical music festival etc. His collaborations with domestic and international artists include concerts with Simon Trpceski, Shkeljzen Doli, Sihana Badivuku, Marija Gjoshevska, Derek Han, Sasha Nikolovski-Gjumar, Borjan Canev, Thomas Herzog etc. As a piano soloist he has performed with the London City Philharmonic, Macedonian Philharmonic, Symphonic orchestra of the Faculty of Music in Skopje, Kosovo Philharmonic and the Symphony orchestra of the Albanian RTV. He has made numerous recordings for radio and TV and was regularly participating in the masterclasses held by prof. Boris Romanov in Ohrid.
