Premiere of the theater play „RACIN“According to Kocho Racin

The theatre play “Racin” does not aim to present facts as they appear historically, and history has coded them, it aims to colour the fact with the spot light of authenticity, cast light over the mythologised Racin, deconstruct, demystify and answer the question “What is Racin to us today?” The play is more a reflection than narration, it is more a fragment than a whole, more an antithesis than a thesis- Racin today, going to every possible tomorrow.

Dejan Projkovski is a macedonian director. Born in 1979 in Bitola, he graduated and earned his master’s degree at the National academy for theatre and film “Kr. Safarov” in Sofia. He is a professor of theatre directing at the University for Audio visual arts ESRA-Paris, Skopje, New York and professor of theatre directing and acting at the University for audio visual arts Europa Prima. He has served as managing director of the Macedonian National theatre in Skopje. He is one of the most influential Macedonian stage directors with an aesthetically specific and innovative directing style. Projkovski has directed numerous plays in Macedonia and the region in Serbia, Bulgaria, Russia, Turkey, Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and has co-produced plays with German, Italian and Slovenian theatres and festivals.
