“Youth Podium” as a harbinger of the 62nd “Ohrid Summer”

This year, several young and exceptionally talented musicians will be part of the “Podium of Young Artists”, which takes place from July 9 to 11 as a precursor to the “Ohrid Summer” festival.

Serbian pianist Bogdan Dugalic will perform in the cathedral church “Sveta Sofia” tonight from 7 pm, who will perform works by Frederic Chopin and Sergei Prokofiev.

Pianist Dugalic is currently studying in the class of prof. Pavel Gililov at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. He is the winner of numerous awards and recognitions at international competitions in Italy, Serbia, Estonia, and since 2012 he has been collaborating with the famous pianist and teacher Konstantin Bogino.

Bogdan Dugalic is one of the winners of the RTS Music Production “Young and Successful”, after which he performs with the RTS Symphony Orchestra, performing Tchaikovsky’s concerto for piano and orchestra. In 2018, he received a scholarship from the “Bartolomeo Cristogori” association in Italy, and in 2019, he received a scholarship from the “Perosi” Academy in Italy, where he had the opportunity to work with D. Alekseev, F. Casanova and M. Widlund. He performs all over Europe, in Germany, Austria, Estonia as well as in his native Serbia.

The creator and organizer of the “Podium of Young Artists” is the Musical Youth of Macedonia.

As part of the “Podium of Young Artists”, the Macedonian pianist Andrej Poposki, the violinist Sara Yeldichkova from the Czech Republic, as well as the Lebanese-Czech pianist Kamil El-Ahmadieh will perform tomorrow evening in “Sveta Sofia”, and the day after tomorrow at the same time the concert podium in the church is reserved for the Macedonian chamber ensemble “Nonet +”, which will perform under the baton of Angel Spiroski.
