With a spectacular show of the flamenco ballet “Luxuria” from Spain, the Ohrid Summer Festival yesterday evening at the Ancient Theatre celebrated its 62nd birthday. Numerous art lovers enjoyed the rhythm and emotion of the musicians and dancers from the Spanish flamenco ballet “Luxuria” in the excellent choreography and perfect performance.
At the beginning of the concert the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in North Macedonia, Jose Luis Lozano Garcia, had his address to the audience.
-The Spanish Embassy is ready to continue strengthening the excellent relations between our two countries, and the beautiful city of Ohrid, said the Ambassador Jose Luis Lozano Garcia.
The Director of the Festival, Natasha Popovikj, pointed out that she pays respect to all those giving their efforts to make all the summer festival evenings for 62years a rela pleasure for the livers of art.
– Today we celebrate the years engraved with rich history of prominent names from the world music elite and theatre performances. Today we celebrate art, said Popovikj.
The flamenco ballet “Luxuria” gave the audience an unforgettable evening bringing to the stage a world full of tension, intrigues, love, passion, loyality and tragedy, but also new innovative combinations of the traditional and modern flamenco.
