The world’s most glamorous and gifted opera star, Angela Gheorghiu, who will open this year’s edition of the “Ohrid Summer” festival, arrived at the International Airport in Skopje today. The world-renowned soprano was welcomed by the director of N.I. “Ohridsko leto” Natasa Popović, M.D, by the selector of the music program of the festival, maestro Bisera Čadlovska, as well as by H.E. The Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of North Macedonia, Adela Monica Axinte.
Opera diva Gheorghiu, together with the Orchestra of the National Opera and Ballet of Macedonia and under the baton of Ciprian Teodorașcu from Romania, will mark the beginning of the 63rd edition of the “Ohrid Summer” festival on July 12 at the Ancient Theater in Ohrid.
Angela Gheorghiu is considered the most glamorous opera star. Her beautiful voice makes the stage shine wherever she performs around the world. She is counted among the best performers in the history of opera, with exceptional vocals, technique and deep dramatic and musical intelligence.
