The traditional Polish Evening at the “Ohrid Summer” Festival will take place tonight at the church of “St. Sophia” starting at 9:00 PM. The concert will feature violinist Emanuele Salvador and violist Emilia Goh Salvador.
According to the specialized magazine “Strad,” Emanuele Salvador is one of the finest violinists of his generation. He has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and concertmaster on stages in the UK, Kazakhstan, China, Japan, Portugal, the Netherlands, Mexico, Turkey, Spain, Italy, and Germany. In 2005, he graduated from the “Guildhall School of Music and Drama” and also studied at the Royal College of Music in London. As a soloist and concertmaster, he has performed with the Spanish National Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Brazil, the Seoul Classic Orchestra, the Philharmonics of Adana, Monterey, Krasnoyarsk, and many others. He is the founder and leader of the “Gumeraish Quartet” from Portugal, with which he regularly performs in Europe and Asia. From 2005 to 2015, Salvador was the concertmaster of the “Norte Orchestra” in Amarante, Portugal. Emanuele Salvador has recorded several albums and successfully toured in Southeast Asia, China, Japan, and the USA.
Emilia Goh Salvador graduated with top honors from the “Jan Paderewski” Music Academy in Poznan, in the class of Prof. Dominik Rutkowski. In 2008, she founded the “Baltic Neopolis” string orchestra and concurrently serves as the director of the Orchestra Association “Baltic-Neopolis,” which is one of the most dynamic non-governmental cultural organizations in Poland. From 2005 to 2018, she collaborated with numerous ensembles and orchestras such as the “Soloists of the German Opera,” “Soloists of Covent Garden,” performed in the orchestra of the Royal Opera “Covent Garden,” and appeared with the Symphony Orchestra of India, the “V4-Višegrad” Quartet, and others. Her concerts have taken her to concert halls across India, Norway, Estonia, Germany, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Greece, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. From 2012 to 2015, she was a collaborator at the “Sadler’s Wells” Theater in London for ballet productions “Sutra” and “Orbo Novo.” With the “Baltic-Neopolis” orchestra, she has recorded several albums and successfully performed on orchestral tours in China and Japan. Since 2016, she has been a permanent member of the Portuguese quartet “Gumeraish,” with which she regularly performs concerts. Emilia Goh Salvador has been a professor at the Art Academy in Szczecin since 2013 and, since 2019, has been organizing master classes for viola in Szczecin and Gumeraish.
