Works by Frederik Chopin and Sergei Prokofiev will be at the tonight’s repertoire of the concert that will be held by young Russian pianist Vadim Kholodenko within the Ohrid Summer Festival.
Kholodenko has a reputation as one of the music’s most dramatic and technically the most talented performers of the new generation of pianists. As a winner of the Golden Medal at the International Piano Competition “Van Cleoburn” in 2013, Kholodenko begins to build an international career in Europe, Asia and North America. Over the years, Kholodenko has collaborated with a number of prominent conductors, orchestras and performers, among which we are well-known: Vadim Repin, Alena Baeva and Alexander Buzlov.
In collaboration with the publishing house “Harmony Mundi” Vadim Kholodenko has released several CDs. One of the most significant is the CD with the Orchestra of the Norwegian Radio, released in August 2015, which was awarded with the famous “Editor’s Choice” award. The CD contains a Piano Concert by Norwegian composer Edward Grieg and Piano Concerto No. 2 by French composer Camille Saint-Saens.
