PROMOTION OF THE MONOGRAPH BOOK

“ANA LIPSHA -TOFOVIKJ”

The monograph book is dedicated to the centenary of the birth of the opera Primadonna Ana Lipsha-Tofovikj (1926-2012), artiste extraordinaire, the pillar of the alto and mezzo soprano repertoire, that remains part of the Macedonian music history as one of the founders of the Macedonian opera and of the Ohrid Summer Festival.

The book covers her life and artistic path in great detail and presents a full analysis of all her roles (the title role in “Carmen”, Orpheus in “Orpheus and Euridice”, Madam Flora in “Medium”, Amneris in “Aida, Azucena in “Il Trovatore”, Dalila in “Samson et Dalila”, Adalgisa in “Norma”, Marija in “Tzar Samoil” Bozhana in “Parting”  etc). as well as a thorough vivisection of the programmes she performed in concert (comprising of a large number of lied, vocal cycles and oratorios).  Special attention in the book is given to t Ana Lipsha -Tofovikj’s contribution in the founding and development of the Ohrid Summer Festival, starting from the first solo recital held by Ana Lipsha in the Cathedral church St. Sofija on June 4th, 1961.

Authors of the book are the accomplished pedagogues and publicists Snezhana Anastasova-Chadikovska MA, and dr. Alekasandar Trajkovski, winners of multiple prizes in the field of culture, publishing and pedagogy, and with a special stamp in the Macedonian book publishing. Their long-lasting collaboration as resulted in the co-authoring on the books “Zina Krelja, soprano and principal of the Macedonian opera” (2018) and “Milka Eftimova-My treasure” (2020).
