The renowned chamber trio “Aura” is formed by three established Macedonian musicians- the flutist Strasho Temkov, pianist Ana Gaceva and bassoonist Marjan Mioshevski- all respected professors at the Faculty of Music in Skopje. The trio “Aura” has a long-standing career in Macedonia as well as abroad with chamber performances in the USA, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belorussia, Austria, the UK, Bulgaria, Asia, Africa, Serbia, Slovenia etc, where their performances are warmly received by audiences and critics alike. The critics describe them as “masters of their instruments” which has earned them concerts at prominent festivals that include Ohrid Summer Festival, Skopje Summer Festival, “Golden lyre” festival, BUNT in Begrade, as well as the festivals in Nish, Bar, Cetinje, festival “Ledamus” and many more which also makes them one of the most active chamber performers in the country. Their repertoire features works from all music epochs and styles, and what makes this ensemble special is their commitment to performance of newly written works by Macedonian composers written and dedicated to trio “Aura”. Their highly accomplished and aesthetically refined music-making is characterized by the “exceptional feeling for expression, musical symbiosis and unity of sound and ideas”.
