The music program of the “Ohrid Summer” festival continues tonight with a performance by the piano duo “Gelebeshevi.” The full-length concert will take place at the church “St. Sophia” starting at 9 PM. The repertoire will include compositions by Claude Debussy, Franz Schubert, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Dmitry Shostakovich.
The duo is composed of two distinguished Macedonian pianists, Katerina Kostadinovska-Gelebesheva and Gligor Gelebeshev. They possess rich and diverse artistic sensibilities, united in a successful and harmonious ensemble – the Piano Duo “Gelebeshevi” is recognizable on the concert stage for their unique creative performance, specific to exceptionally talented and well-prepared artists who can capture the attention of even the most discerning audience with their inspiring interpretations.
In the sphere of chamber music, the piano duo “Gelebeshevi” has established itself as an ensemble with exceptionally high-profile artistic performance since its inception in 2001. They have built a successful concert career in North Macedonia and on numerous international stages around the world.
For their prolific concert activity, the piano duo “Gelebeshevi” has received the highest recognition from the Union of Macedonian Musicians, the “Golden Lyre” award in 2012. They have also collaborated with several media houses in North Macedonia and abroad and have released two CDs.
