Zacharias Tarpagos is a regular flutist at the Greek National Opera in Athens, and his solo performances lead him to some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, the Symphony Hall in Boston, the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, and the London Halls. Thessaloniki, Tokyo, the hall of the Onassis Foundation and many others. As one of the members of the band “Armonia Atenea” and “Camera Music” he has made recordings for Deutsche Gramophone and Deka Classics playing baroque and classical flute, and with these ensembles he performs at world famous festivals in London (BBC Proms). and Salzburg. As a chamber musician he often performs outside Greece and around the world, and has been a guest at the “Santori Hall” in Tokyo. Music critics describe his performances as “wonderfully delicate” … “with an incredibly clear tone”. Zack is a strong advocate for a stable music education for children living in extreme conditions of poverty, social discrimination or any unfavorable environment in Greece and abroad, hoping to improve their lives through music, education and socializing.
Born in Georgia, Valeria Haritidu studied piano with Inessa Chovrebashvili and graduated from the Experimental School of Music in Tbilisi. He continues to study at the National Conservatory in Thessaloniki, in the class of Victoria Vkturatu, where he graduated with the highest grades in 2007. She also studies in Leuven, Belgium in the class of Joop Celis, and attends master classes with Dora Bakopoulou, Bernard Ringaisen, Ana Kulikova and George Emanuel Lazaridis.
She performs with all important orchestras in Thessaloniki, with the Mediterranean Symphony Orchestra, with the Elche Symphony Orchestra, and is active in performing recitals and as a chamber artist with performances in Georgia, Greece and Cyprus. He has won awards at several competitions in Greece, and is constantly required to perform as a piano accompaniment to various vocal ensembles, soloists and others. Recently, Valeria Haritidou was elected piano teacher at the Municipal Conservatory in Thessaloniki, and accompanist at the State Conservatory in the same city.
