The participants of the International seminar on piano and viola, violin and chamber music were held at the Ohrid Summer Festival.
This artistic leadership seminar has been in existence since 2009 and in the first three years of its existence it has been held on Istria in Croatia. Since 2013, it is held in Ohrid, and the final concert is part of the Ohrid Summer Festival.
This year’s ten-day seminar was attended by 15 young musicians from Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Russia, three pianists and the other violinists.
-The seminar is held for the first time with a piano. Until last year, we only had a violin with chamber music. We had an intensive ten-day work and many new ideas, which is actually the purpose of the seminar. That is why I am glad that we continue in the same spirit and we have great interest both in the seminar itself and in Ohrid. The participants also spend 5 thousand kilometers to participate. I believe that this will be the case in the future because Ohrid is part of the enticing point, says the artistic director of the seminar, the famous violinist Emilio Pertan.
At the closing concert of the International Seminar, traditionally, the most successful students participate. One of them is the young violinist Anja Svervets from Slovenia.
-I come to Ohrid for the third year. This time in front of the audience of “Ohrid Summer”, I introduced myself to Wagner’s work. I am very pleased with what we have gained, and I especially like the ambience of the church “St. Sophia,” says Sherwets.
Her colleague and compatriot Anja Sustaric is also pleased with the participation of the seminar, but also from the final concert that took place within the framework of the Ohrid Summer Festival.
– I play for the first time at “Ohrid Summer”, but I visited Ohrid twice, and I like it all the time. At the final concert with my violin, I presented myself with Debussy music, says Shushtaric.
The international seminar on piano and violin, viola and chamber music is organized by the Music Youth of Macedonia, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia.
