Concert for piano four hands tonight at “Ohrid Summer”

The music program of the Ohrid Summer Festival continues tonight with a concert for piano 4 hands that will be held in the church “St.Sophia” starting at 9 pm. Before the festival audience will be prominent Macedonian pianists Ana Gaceva and Tatjana Djorleva with works by Maurice Ravel, Eric Satie and Antonin Dvorzak.

Pianists Gaceva and Jorleva perform in chamber composition from 2005, when they are holding their first solo recital at the Skopje Summer Festival. Since then, they have continuously realized numerous successful concerts throughout the country. The continuous joint music of these two pianists, professors at the Music Academy in Skopje and Stip, is always highly evaluated by music criticism.

The duet’s repertoire includes compositions from all musical styles and eras, including works by Macedonian and world contemporary composers. As soloist Ana Gaceva stands out as one of the most active and most successful in the country, as evidenced by her high state and international awards. Tatjana Djorleva is also a soloist who has realized numerous concert performances, both in the country and on the European stage. There are significant also her collaborations with Macedonian composers Dimitrie Buzarovski, Goce Kolarovski, Tomislav Zografski, Stefan Gajdov, Damjan Temkov, which result in constant promotion of Macedonian music in the country and abroad. She has won numerous awards and recognitions.
