“New colors of the past” – a concert of the saxophone and accordion

The duo “Aliada” consisting of two “incredibly talented and creative musicians”, saxophonist Mihal Knot and accordion player Bogdan Leketic, will perform a concert in the framework of the festival “Ohrid Summer” tonight.

The concert “New Colors of the Past” titled as their first album, will bring works by Handel. Grig, Penderecki, de Fala, Bartok and Piazzola, all arranged for a saxophone and harmonica from the duo.


     
Since their inception in 2013, the duo immediately becomes impressive in the world of classical music, resulting in numerous concerts all over the world. In the last season they have performed more than 80 performances on five different continents in prestigious concert halls such as Carnegie Hall, Musikferain in Vienna, Tonhale in Zurich, Hermitage Theater in St. Petersburg, Theater Lago in Chile and many others . Their career begins with the victory of the Fidelio competition where they were unanimously awarded the Grand prix award. Their first album titled “New Colors of the Past” is gaining great criticism, and Duotto Aliada is included in the program “New Austrian Sound of Music 2016-17” financed by the Austrian government. The duo performs regularly on Austrian radio and television stations.

The concert of the duo “Aliada” will take place at the church “St. Sophia” at 8 pm and 30 minutes.
